Field Day

I took a few photos while out monitoring invasive plants. These only give a feel for a small lake ecosystem.

Palmettos like wet soils. These are in the trees surrounding the lake.

This soft shell turtle was stuck in a fence. The biologist picked it up and we drove it to the lake where it belongs.

Beautiful bracket fungi

While we were working, the gal holding the turtle found a native lily. She has been looking around here for 10 years. It was an exciting moment. They took photos and set GPS markers.

More photos soon! It is such a beautiful place here, outside of Gainesville, FL
