The Easter Bunny is not like Santa, who can travel the entire world in one night. Hopping makes for slow going. Therefore, each country has their own Easter Bunny. I read recently about the Australian Bilby which is not a direct relative of the Easter Bunny but plays the same role in Australia.  He is so cute:
