Funeral on the High Plains Today

I am always so moved when I officiate at a local graveside service. I feel tossed back in time, to the days when pioneers stood on the high plains and buried their own. This morning the snowy setting was so peaceful. Across the cemetery to the south, a horse grazed through the snow. Somehow it was all perfect.

Had to clear the snow for the wreath and urn.
