Back to the Books

Book marketing has been on the back burner due to an exceptionally busy 4 weeks at work. So, on goes my self-publishing and marketing hat.

The best way to sell regional-interest books (in my opinion) is to meet and greet. Saturday  I will have a table at the Chugwater Chili Cookoff event (in Chugwater, WY of course). The table is free and the event organizers only ask for 10% of sales. So seller friendly. This is small-town Wyoming in every possible way.

The event occurs each year on Father’s Day weekend and draws people from all over. I have attended a few times; usually, I take my bike down and ride around. It’s a blast. Not long ago I posted some photos of Chug.  I will get lots more tomorrow.

Chugwater is the only town between Wheatland and Cheyenne, and has lots of old west history. Wheatland and Chugwater are both part of Platte County, WY. The area is visually attractive, a nice respite from the treeless drive out of Cheyenne. However, they seem to get the worst of the snow and hail storms.
