Keyhole State Park, WY

I packed up and moved about 130 miles, back into my home state of Wyoming. Photos of my new digs tomorrow. I am in Keyhole State Park, and I found a huge site overlooking a lagoon. First thing I did after “popping up” was open all the windows. Ahhhhh. Then, I connected the solar panel since I no longer have any hookups. The frig is now running on propane.

I have a Wyoming resident annual park pass so I can camp free here as long as I like. I hope to stay here 4-5 days, unless the heat gets unbearable. So much to explore  (including Devil’s Tower, a WY icon). The park brochure says that over 200 birds live here in the summer. A Mountain Bluebird greeted me when I turned into the park. aaaaaaaa

Also met another “solo” traveler in the next campsite over. He is from Georgia and heading up to Alaska. He put on 1800 miles in the last two days. I have heard about the instant fellowship between wanderers and that certainly proved true. We both keep to ourselves but there is a friendliness.

Now that I have had a few days off, I have work to do. I am technically on sabbatical, which means the time is not all fun and games. I have a writing/research project and am looking forward to it. I have some personal projects as well. More on all that later.

I have 4G Internet service here…yippeee. Here are some photos of Keystone from the Internet.
