Denver Mini-Adventure

Tomorrow I leave for a 3-day trip to Denver. I have some work-related appointments Thursday, and my son is moving to a new apartment on Friday (emptied out the van so I can help him). On Saturday, he graduates from fire academy. I am looking forward to spending time with him and his lovely lady, Kira. Both have been working and going to school this past semester so family time has been scarce.

Normally I would stay at Kerry’s apartment, but since he is moving, that won’t work. I researched places to set up Half Moon and found a really sweet-sounding little RV park near where he lives. It is not far off I-70, really in the heart of Denver. As such, it should be awful but the online reviews are positive. The park is on a lake AND near a creek that has a walking/biking trail. It sounds like a little piece of paradise in the middle of Denver. So, I made a reservation ($34/night for a site with electricity and water) and am hoping for the best.

Kerry has lived alone but now has a roommate. I am thinking it will be nice to have a little camper respite where I can stay when I visit Denver. I sure hope it lives up to it’s reputation. Will post photos and review.

Flying Cloud and Half Moon cleaned up and ready to roll out tomorrow morning. ready to roll

I pulled it out front because the driveway spot where it was is not level. Water tank is full and will fill propane tank later today.
