Wondering, Wandering

Working on my sermon for this Sunday and expecting that all goes well. People here have been warm and friendly. Some interesting facts about this town:

1. Smaller than Wheatland

2. No stop signs, instead of 2

3. One large school serves all grades (and houses public library)

4. Senior Center has yummy lunch on T/W and dinner on Monday nights

When I read that the town is under a major flyway, they meant that literally. Each day, large flocks of birds fly over head in V formation. Some are ducks, others geese, but not Canada Geese. The Whoppers came through weeks ago.  If I am invited to stay, I will certainly enjoy the spring migration.

I forgot to mention earlier, I am in Pizza Ranch territory. I discovered one earlier this year and was smitten by their pizza and “cactus bread”. Fortunately, the closest one is 70 miles away; otherwise, I would be eating more pizza than is healthy.

I have a new memory card for my camera and will post some photos when/if I am called here. The other  card is somewhere..you know how that goes when moving.
